COACHES LUNCHES 

GAME PLANNERS need fuel too. Volunteer to provide lunch for our coaches on  Varsity game days, and JV game days or Saturday film day!  

Our coaches go above and beyond for our players and spend many hours away from their families during football season.  They spend most of game days prepping - not just the players and strategy, but loading team equipment, getting buses from the motor pool, checking field conditions, organizing uniforms and player equipment and much more.  It’s a busy day and doesn’t end when the game is over.  On Saturdays they are back at school reviewing film and planning for the next week.  Providing lunch on these busy days is a great opportunity to show them our support!

Order out or bring a home cooked meal.  Lunch for 15 people delivered to Coach Woods office.

Sign up on your own or partner with another footb, ll parent.  It doesn’t matter which team your son is on as to when you sign up.  The coaches need to eat each day!

VARSITY PRE-GAME DINNER (THURSDAY NIGHT)

HUDDLE and host or co-host the Varsity players the night before the big game! Great for team building, fueling our boys the night before the big game, and the added bonus of getting to know the boys! 

One sign up spot is available for the lead/host, but this is definitely more fun with a group!  So...grab some friends, create a menu and get ready for a house (or another location) full of Warriors!  Please include address and/or location in the comments section.

VARSITY HALF TIME NUTRITION

Provide our boys with nutrition for a clean burst of energy to finish Friday night strong!  Varsity players recharge during the half; please drop off 60 individual servings of fruit to the Trainer’s office between 11:30-11:45am on Varsity Game Day. Suggestions: almond bags, bananas, mandarins, watermelon, oranges, apples, berries, or any combination of these items.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS VOLUNTEERS

Friday Night Lights is our annual Football Booster Club Fundraiser that takes place before the season starts. It’s our kickoff event for fun, friends, and football! Volunteers assist with generating items for live and silent auctions, donations for games like the wine toss, helping to set up decorations before the event, picking up after the event, and manning the check-in tables are a few of the ways you can volunteer for this very important event.

TEEPEE DADS 

Teepee Dads attend all home and away Varsity games. Arrive 30-60 minutes before kickoff to set up inflatable teepee, tunnel and sponsor banners. During pregame and halftime, Dads assist cheerleaders in bringing out the football team through teepee and tunnel. After halftime Dads pack up inflatables, banners and take down any other gameday decorations. Teepee Dads can remain on the sidelines during the game!

FRESHMAN/JV GAME DAY ANNOUNCERS

Consider being an announcer for your son’s team! All of our boys would love to have announcers at their home games and this is a great way to get to know your son's teammates! 

All home games are played at Warrior Bowl. There are 5 Freshman and 5 JVgames that would benefit from an announcer

Freshman and JV home games, we need volunteers to help! Announcer- you get the best view and the best weather protected seats in the stands! Arrive 10-15 minutes before the game starts to settle in; Coach Osborne will ensure you receive the roster"

SENIOR NIGHT (FR, SO, and JR Parents ONLY)

Senior night is a special night when we celebrate our seniors and their families for all of their hard work and dedication to the Westwood Football program. Volunteers assist by arriving early to the game and helping with pre-game activities including coordinating the lineup for family photos, distributing flowers to  each senior’s family, and generally helping the event to run smoothly and efficiently. The Senior Night Chair will coordinate with the volunteer group beginning about 3 weeks out from the event.

SPIRIT GIRL THANK YOU TEAM

Spirit Girls bring treats to all Varsity players on the day of each football game, regardless of whether it’s home or away. Their gifts are thoughtful and take a lot of time to prepare for our boys throughout the entirety of the football season. To show appreciation, Football parents assist the players in preparing a gift of appreciation to give to their Spirit Girl at the end of the season.

BANQUET VOLUNTEERS

The end of season banquet is a great opportunity to celebrate our players for a job well-done! Banquet volunteers assist with decorating the cafeteria before the event, picking up after the event, coordinating the senior slideshow, organizing coaches gifts, assisting with catering vendors, assisting with the event program, and more. Please consider helping make our banquet a success!

MERCHANDISE VOLUNTEERS

Onsite pop-up merchandise stand. You can help with this effort by signing up for time slots to sell merchandise before and during games and other events. You don’t need to worry about getting the pop-up stand to where it needs to be - we just need volunteers to keep the sales flowing! Specific opportunities will be available using signupgenius.com.
