Westwood Jumpers and Relay Advance to State!!!
Westwood will take 5 athletes to the Texas UIL State Championship in May. This is the most qualifiers for Westwood Track & Field in over 25 years!
Westwood competed this weekend in San Antonio Heroes Stadium at the Region 4-6A Championship. Only the top 2 finishers in each event advance to the coveted Texas UIL State Meet on May 3 in Austin, Texas.
Jumpers Kenzie McElroy and Ollie Lindsey move on to state.
Kenzie earns silver with a long jump of 18'-10 1/4"
Ollie wins silver with a high jump of 6'-5"
Violet just missed advancing for the 200m, but broke her own school record and ran her personal best of 23.94, Violet also long jumped her personal best of 18'-4.75".
The mighty relay team of Addy, Violet, Vivian and Kenzie will also advance to the Texas UIL State in the 4 x 100 relay.
