Wind Didn't Stop the PRs!

Meet 5 was the Westlake Chap Relays at Chaparral Stadium.  Temperatures were good throughout the day with gusty winds.  The wind did not stop the PRs in both field and track events. 

The day started with Mia Massey in the high jump with a PR of 4'10" followed by long jump success by Violet Hewett with a gold medal jump and PR of 17'-10 1/2".

JV Girls, Yolanda Garza, Nora Jacobs, Jackson Bowen and Izzy Grey had a strong finish in the 4.1 with a 53.84.

Varsity girls 4x1, Kenize, Violet, Vivian, and Addy, broke their own record from last week at the Round Rock Invitational and finished first with a time of 47.67!  Focused Freshman, Vivian Garza, is one to watch in the sprint open events as the season progresses!

Middle distance boys PR'ed in the 800m

Junior Violet Hewett finished 1st in the 200m with a time of 24.51 running into a strong head wind.

Senior Kenzie McElroy finished 2nd in the 400m with a PR of 57.65

Varsity girls also took gold in the 4x200m relay.

JV Girls hurdlers, Kariza and Chloe, ran and jumped their best.

Our long distance varsity girls, Holly Vessa and Jacqueline Stone both PR'ed in the 1600m.  Both these girls are underclassmen so keep your eyes on them!!!!!
