Bio

Elisa Klepper, from Austin, is part of the  Westwood Tennis alumni. She grew up with a family who loved tennis; her grandmother, mother, father, and brother all played tennis. Her brother, Chris Klepper, played for Westwood as well. Elisa started playing tennis while she was in 7th grade and managed to get onto the freshman team. She played on the freshman team for a year, and afterwards, she played on the varsity team for the rest of high school. Tennis was a very fun and valuable experience for her. She says that playing tennis had taught her how to work on a team and manage multiple responsibilities. After high school, she went to Temple Junior college. She played there for two years on a full athletic scholarship. She was very successful, getting second place in a national tournament in Arizona. After Temple, she went to Arkadelphia, AR. There she attended Henderson State on a full athletic scholarship. She left Arkansas and came back to Texas. She then graduated from Texas State with a BS in Biology. She came back here to Austin, where she is happily living, working at PPD. She has a six year old daughter, and says life now is very good. Tennis has affected her entire life, and she still goes out and plays tennis recreationally from time to time. She says that she still really enjoys tennis and just being outside.
