Westwood swimmer Raphael Wang won the public voting for the American-Statesman's Austin-area boys athlete of the week sponsored by Thomas J Henry Law for the week of Feb. 17-22. 

Wang received 50.11% of the vote in a close race to edge East View soccer player and runnerup Hector Morales by more than 3%.

Wang won the Class 6A state title in the 100 breaststroke at the Class 6A UIL Swimming and Diving Championships.
