Bio

John G. Horsley M.Ed., ATC, LAT, CSCS

 

John is from Denton, TX and moved to Austin in 2001 to attend the University of Texas at Austin.   He spent 5 years working with Texas Longhorn Athletics as an Athletic Training Student.   In 2005, he worked with the 2005 NCAA National Champion Longhorn Baseball Team.  John also spent time as an intern with the Austin Wranglers of the Arena Football League and with the sport performance company Train 4 The Game. 

 

In 2006, John completed Kinesiology degrees in Athletic Training and Health Promotions and Fitness from the University of Texas at Austin.  He also completed his M. Ed in Education Administration from Concordia University Texas in August 2013.  John has also served as a preceptor, supervising athletic training students in the Athletic Training Program for the University of Texas at Austin since 2010.

 

This will be John’s 14th year as an Athletic Trainer at the high school level, having worked at Manor High School (2007-2010), Cedar Ridge High School (2010-2013), and currently Westwood High School. 

 

In his free time, John volunteers with T. Spoon’s Rodeo Sports Medicine and Justin Boots Sports Medicine.
