Bio

I have been teaching and coaching for about 23 years.  I was born and raised in Llano, Texas and my family still lives there.  My husband and I have three boys Brandon, Daylon and Kaleb.  My older two children have graduated Brandon from Brehnam High School, Daylon from Westwood and Kaleb is going into the 7^th grade at Grisham.  I started my career at Westwood High School in 2007 but, before Westwood I was a teacher and coach at Brenham High School and Bryan High School where I coached Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Track and Cross Country.  I went to Angelo State University and played basketball for two years but I ultimately graduated from Sam Houston State University.  I have taught Special Education for most of my 20 years in either the resource setting or the adaptive behavior setting.  I am a highly qualified teacher in English, History and Science.  I have also taught PE and health. I am currently teaching Applied English II, III, and IV at Westwood.

•           2007 Girls Cross-Country team qualified for regional

•              2007 Seven girls qualified for regional track meet

•              2008 Girls Cross-Country team qualified for regional

•              2008 JV Girls Basketball team won district

I bring to the table work experience from the Jr. High level through the Varsity level in teaching and coaching.  I have been a part of some very successful athletic programs and seen programs that are not so good turned around.  I have worked with all different kinds of kids from kids with minor learning problems to difficult kids with emotional disturbance.  I have experience working with the budget system on the administrative side of athletics as well as working as a Head Coach with my activity budget and district athletic budget.  I have also worked at three very different and diverse school districts.
