Q&A with District 13-6A MVP Maddi Kriz

What position do you play for Westwood Volleyball? Outside Hitter, middle blocker, right side and even setter. What is your best memory you have had on the volleyball court? Beating Round Rock at home.  It was the first game that we really played as a team and we played very well.

 What is the best thing about being a Warrior volleyball player?

I would say the culture.  It's super competitive and the coaches really prioritize teamwork and working together.

What is your favorite thing about Westwood High School?

Probably the diverse culture. I really find all of the different backgrounds interesting.

What is your favorite class and teacher at Westwood?

Definitely AP Chemistry with Mrs. White.

What teams do you root for outside of the Warriors?

I don't really follow sports.  I watch soccer a lot.

What is something that no one know about you?

I really like math and science.  I was engineering for 2 years.

What advice would you give to someone that wants to be a Westwood Warrior Athlete?

Get to know your team super well. You are going to be with them the next 4 years.
