Bio

Coach Joey Hart will be entering his 7th year in the Warrior Baseball program and 16th year overall coaching and teaching.  Graduating from Round Rock High School in 1996, Coach Hart played baseball for Coach John Langerhans where he was a 4 year starter, 2 time 1st team all state, and 2 time USA Today and Baseball America All-American.  He also lettered in football 2 years and basketball and track each one year.  Coach Hart played his freshman year for Coach Augie Garrido at the University of Texas where he was on the freshman all Big 12 team.   Injuries allowed Hart to play at Grayson County College as a sophomore where he earned 1st team All-American, and at Lubbock Christian University where he earned 2nd team All-American as a catcher and first baseman respectively.  He was blessed to be drafted three times; 1996 by the Houston Astros, in 1997 by the LA Dodgers and in 2000 by the Texas Rangers.

 

Hart started his teaching and coaching career 16 years ago in West Texas and has head coaching stints in Rotan ISD, George West ISD, and Pleasanton ISD before coming back to the Central Texas area and working at Grisham Middle School for the past 12 years.

 

Coach Hart’s number one supporter is his beautiful wife Stacy to whom they have been together since 2011 and they have 4 kids: Joel, Jett, Harley, and Aubrie.  Coach Hart’s goal is to utilize his skills to best serve athletes and help ballplayers attain their goal of being productive varsity players
